It’s a star… a Big Star.

Long established and much respected Big Star Copywriting is a leading UK B2C copywriting agency. Specialising in food, fashion and travel well known clients including eBay, Ladbrokes and Hilton Hotels.

No stranger to running his own Google Adwords campaigns Big Star MD Derryck Strachan felt the time was right to bring in a little pro PPC help. Sure, paid search had yielded decent results and Big Star had picked up some decent work over the years but it was time to step things up - to get serious about using paid search.

Referred by a mutual friend at UK Copywriting, they called Didia.

It’s great to have that objective eye on our paid search, to have a pro step back and and point out its strengths and weaknesses. PPC can be expensive and it’s important to make sure that every penny is spent wisely.

The mirror...

Paid search is a powerful marketing tool. There’s a reason that many millions are spend on it everyday. It works. The difficulty many companies face is in clearly identifying which parts of their PPC are filling the bucket and which are draining it. Where to best direct those many millions. Without a clear understanding of exactly how your search is put together and how it’s performing it’s easy to waste spend.

So we ran a full paid search account audit for Big Star.

Double your conversions?

Benefits were instant - a 100% increase in conversions in month one. A trend that continued through months two and three with another 100% and 61% increases respectively.

June (pre campaign)  July  August September
Number of Conversions  N/A  100% Increase  100% Increase 61% Increase
 Conversion Rate  0.85%  1.84%  3.92% 4.58%

The Future

Is big. Is starry.

As with any campaign we’re constantly reviewing the data and using it to inform our next steps. Next steps that will include the testing of new strategies such as re-targeting and also LinkedIn advertising.

Results have been great, We’re already speaking with a couple of seriously big prospects that I’m sure would have slipped through the net if we hadn’t tightened our PPC up with Didia. Good work chaps.
